part of the problem Mathematica has is that people assume it's just for math, which isn't the case. it's a very general system. this renaming, while utterly dorky and aesthetically hamhanded, will at least help clear that misunderstanding

Correct, it seems to be a repackaged Mathematica, with better deployment options.
